September 2013

YAY! SCHOOL! (meh...)
So, I usually have a love/hate relationship with this month. I hate it because, ya know, school, but on the brighter side I have turned 15!!!!! Yay me! *claps like a three year old* One more year until I can finally get my permit and drive (even though I'll probably end up crashing into a sidewalk or something)!
School... has been irritating. I don't not like it. I'm all for learning, but we get so much homework! Seriously, I get more assignments in my honors courses than my AP classes (especially English)! It's really strange! I have about 2 quizzes, 1 test, 1 project, and three homework to do at once (which I probably should be doing right now o.0, but PROCRASTINATION) and I'm not exaggerating. I have a mind map on 1984, a worksheet I need to create (group work), I have to draw and design a map for 1984, study for a vocabulary test, and I had two quizzes and a project handed in last week. I'm pretty sure my teacher wants to kill us. Surprisingly, that's not my worst class. I'm also taking AP World History, which was rumored last year to be the death class, and the rumor's held true. Currently, there are 22 students in the class, and most of them are on the honor roll, but I think the average of the class is in the low B). My teachers are pretty cool, sarcastic, humorous, I guess. I really, really, really, really, REALLY, REALLY hate math, like with a burning passion. I know, I'm Asian, I'm supposed to be some sort of amazing mathematician, right? NO! Entirely false! I don't want to be a doctor or an architect or engineer or accountant when I grow up. Besides, when am I seriously going to use trig? I don't plan on teaching math! My mother says she never used algebra since she graduated from college. EXACTLY! School, don't even get me started. Oh wait... (yeah, I feel sorry for my friends who have to hear me rant about ^^^^^ this, every single day, and more).
On the brighter side, I went to Beach Jam at Wildwood for the first time in the nine years I've been in Girl Scouts. I have to say, it was actually SO much fun. I normally hate rides, but it was exciting going with a bunch of friends (even if my two best friends ditched me! They didn't come because they had 'stuff.') It was FREEZING! and because I am the idiot that I am, I didn't bring sweatpants. So I slept in fifty degree weather, without a pillow or a blanket, in a t-shirt and sofee shorts. Yay me! The best fun I had, though, was when my troop, minus the troop leader, went out to the dunes to hang out at around midnight. We'd just finished setting up our tents, and needless to say, it was freezing. Some douchebag called me and this other girl bitches, and she got all up in his business, quite humorous. They were complete dicks (seriously, the boy scouts these days). Honestly, worse than the guys at my school. We did end up meeting this boy scout troop who were actually really nice. We hung out with them for a bit, and met up with them the next day (which was slightly awkward because one of them was flirting with one of the girls who was in kinda a relationship [deemed by me as a flirtationship], and this kinda annoying girl in my troop who kept on flirting with the guys who seriously got creeped out [by her, or maybe me because I'm weird, too]).
My birthday, though, was seriously terrible. I forgot my watch (which is always a sign of a bad day for me) at home, which made me very upset. I had 2 quizzes and a test (or was it a quiz and 2 tests?), anyways, I did things that required thought and effort! Just, no, not on my birthday. It got even worse when I realized that I did terribly on a math quiz (yes, worse than a B) I nearly cried right there. It got slightly better because it was a Friday, and I came home and watched 8 episodes of Criminal Minds, and then went out to eat dinner and got a free, fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie cake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce on top. It was a nice ending to a not so happy day. On the bright side, I wore a shirt my friend gave me for my birthday that read I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. If you don't know what that's from, you are not worth my time (I'm being serious [Sirius] {get it? I know, I'm hilarious.}).
SO yeah, now I'm addicted to Youtube, even more than usual. I've become a huge fan of DailyGrace, Jim Chapman, Tanya Burr, Zoella, Marcus Butler, Connor Franta, ThatcherJoe, Jenna Marbles, Tyler Oakley, NigaHiga, Troye Sivan, Casper Lee, the Fine Bros, Joey Graceffa, Jacksgap, KurtHugaSchneider, Alex Goot, Prank vs Prank, Pointless Blog, and a whole lot more (I've been a fan of most of them for a while, I just haven't had time to watch a lot of videos until I started procrastinating). Honestly, I can keep on listing and listing, but these are my main ones. Any more suggestions?
Anyways, I'm starting a blog now, where I will be posting these and maybe some more opinion stuff and specific life adventure stories. Cheers and may the odds be ever in my favor ('cos let's face it, I need it more than Katniss)
;)

August 2013

Hola summer vactioners who also dislike this time of the year because school is starting
Well, I totally missed the last day of August to update, but I was at school with homework and all that, so that's my excuse. I'm soooo sad school started and the summer is over. August was really busy busy busy for me. In the first week, I went to the Asian camp thing, and it was actually a lot of fun and I made a bunch of new friends who are as sarcastic and weird as me. Since it was an Asian camp, though, we had homework. We were let out at 9 pm (it started at 7:30 am) and we had homework. Seriously? Some people just expect too much from us. Anyways, we had to learn a bunch of dances, and it was funny watching the guys dance because they were so clueless.
After that camp, my family and I travelled up and down the west coast for ten days. I hate airplanes. They make me so sick, but it gives me an excuse to just sleep for a couple hours (the long distance flights that I take are like 19 hours when I go to Asia, and I don't eat the entire time. It's a way to lose weight, but it's not good for me). We went to Seattle first, and just hung out there for a while. After, we drove up to Vancouver, and we went to the Capilano Bridge and places like that. Lots of hiking. After that, we drove back down to Seattle and hung out there for another day, and then we flew down to LA and explored around LA, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood. I really wanted to see a celebrity, but that didn't happen. So we met up with a bunch of my parents' friends from college and ate with them and it was a lot of fun. THEN, (I know, a lot of places in 10 days) we drove up to SanFran, which was honestly really boring. No offense meant to anyone, but there was nothing out there. It was like the safari. Funny story, though, I went to a McDonalds because I really needed to go to the bathroom, and I went in, and there was this Mexican gang just staring at me the whole time. It was slightly creepy. So after that, when we got to SanFran, we explored around a bit. We went to the Golden Gate Bridge and took a bunch of pictures (I was so mad when I realized we were on the opposite side as Chris Colfer, but it was at the same time. I WAS SO CLOSE). Then, we went out to eat with some more of my parents' friends, and they had a daughter around my age who went, too. (Everyone go check out @ingaink on instagram. She has awesome designs) We went to a winery or something (I forget), and after that, we went to Boubons! I was so excited, the macaroons, lemon tart and the cookie sandwich thing were really good! SO then we flew home, and I was sad, but happy. Happy to be home, but sad that summer was ending. I just realized that I've been to over 15 airports around the world... cools (for me, that's a lot, okay).
AND I AM SO HAPPY BECAUSE I SAW CITY OF BONES WHEN I CAME BACK BUT WTF WAS UP WITH VALENTINE/JONATHAN RHYS' HAIR? I AM IN LOVE WITH JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER, AND IF YOU LIVE IN DOWNTOWN TORONTO, OR SOMEWHERE AROUND THERE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO STALK THE CITY OF ASHES SET FOR ME AND SEND ME PICS (and yes, this whole paragraph is going to be in all caps) I WAS JUST LIKE AHHHH! I HATE THE CRITICS COMPARING THIS TO TWILIGHT, HARRYP POTTER AND THE HUNGER GAMES. FIRST, I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAR UP THAT CITY OF BONES CAME OUT A YEAR BEFORE THE HUNGER GAMES. SECOND, THIS IS WAY DIFFERENT THAN TWILIGHT! IS THERE A GAY WARLOCK WHO WEAR SPARKLY EYELINER IN TWILIGHT? I DONT THINK SO! AND HOW DARE THEY COMPARE LILY COLLINS TO KRISTEN STEWART. LESSON: CRITICS ARE NOT TEENAGE GIRLS WHO DREAM AND WORSHIP THE BOOKS AND FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. THEY HAVE NOT READ THE BOOKS, SO YOU CAN'T ALWAYS TRUST THEIR JUDGMENT. THIRD, FOR EVERYONE WHO CLAIMED IT WAS A RON/GINNY INCEST FANFIC. GO DIG A HOLE, PULL OUT YOU-NONEXISTANT BRAIN, AND THROW IT IN, BECAUSE YOU NEED TO GET A NEW ONE! JACE IS A NATURAL BLONDE (as he points out to Simon in the beginning). SECOND, GO READ THE DAMN BOOK! DUDE, TWILIGHT HAS THE WEIRD MUTANT HALF-VAMPIRE BABY, HP HAS DOBBY DYING, TMI HAS ITS SURPRISES TOO. OKAY? YOU CAN'T JUDGE IT BASED ON THE FIRST BOOK. (I think that tmi is the only series in which the second book is as good as the first [HP is an exception to all rules]) THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MOVIE I HAD 5 THOUGHTS:
1) WHY THE FUCK CAN'T THEY KISS ALREADY?
2) JUST STAB VALENTINE DAMNIT!
3) THIS IS NOT HOW THE BOOK GOES!
4) THIS IS HILARIOUS SHIT!
5) SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!
In case you couldn't tell, I'm a really huge fan of The Mortal Instruments, and I thought the movie was mostly brilliant, with the exception of the hair, and the weird ending, and no Church and blah blah blah. While on the topic of movies, I have not yet seen This Is Us, because school started. It keeps me really busy because of AP classes and everything. So far this week (it started on the 26) I've had 3 tests, 1 essay, lots of homework, and experiments with fire. So, yeah, busy me. Also... my birthday is coming up! I'm so happy.
School is a happy and sad place. I get to see friends, but they aren't in like any of my classes, and also because it's school and school means homework and tests and reading book that are like 3 times my age. Yeah, so SEE Y'ALL AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF LIFE!

July 2013

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY JAMES POTTER!
Well, July is over... it's been very stressful for me. I should probably be doing homework instead of typing this, but what's a five minute break? Softball is over for me, we didn't qualify for states ('cause we really aren't a travel team), but we got second. I'd rather be third than second... who wants to be the first loser? To reach the door but never make it in? Yeah, well, good luck to the other team.
I went to Wonderland for the first time! If you're not Canadian, I don't expect you to know where that is. I had a blast, but I'm not a huge roller coaster freak, so I didn't go on the Leviathan or Behemith or anything like that. The waterpark is a lot of fun, but it has huge lines after lunch, so always go to the waterpark first. I did go on Vortex about five or six times, but mostly, I just walked around. I got terribly sunburnt, and I realized that I actually burn really easily. My back was burnt and I had a t-shirt on the whole day.
The rest of July was pretty uneventful. I saw a lot of movies, though. I highly advise Despicable Me 2. If you're a kid, go see it. If you're an immature teen like me, go see it. If you're a 40-year-old pedophile, stay away from small children. If you're celebrating your 10 year anniversary, congratulations, and go watch DM2. I also saw Grown Ups 2, which wasn't as good, but kind of funny. If you are an immature teen who doesn't care if a movie has a plot, go see it. If you are a teenage guy, go see it. If you are a teenage girl, go see Taylor Lautner do 12 backflips in a row. I also saw The Wolverine. Okay... BY FAR, the best movie, at least, for my taste. I LOVE action movies. I LOVE Hugh Jackman. I LOVE laughing at people who don't understand Japanese (because there is a lot of that in this movie). GO WATCH IT! Another movie I saw (not in theaters) was G.I.Joe: Retaliation, because once again, I am a HUGE action lover. I did not see The Conjuring, nor do I plan to because movies like that scare the shit out of me because I am highly superstitious. I may go watch Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, but probably not. I'll probably Netflix it when it comes out. I AM GOING TO WATCH CITY OF BONES BECAUSE IT IS BOSS!
One, please never compare Hunger Games to City of Bones or I will track you down and punch you in the face. Two, go watch the movie when it comes out (Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower and Robbie Sheehan and Godfrey Gao and Kevin Zegers and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are in it!) Three, if you know, please tell me if Church is in the movie!
I AM SO MAD! I AM MISSING LITTLE MIX IN NYC (August 2) BY 1 DAY AND IN LA BY 2 DAYS! And I also have been stalking 1D, not purposefully. See, I was in NY when they were in NY, I was in Philly when they were in Philly. I missed them by 1 day in Pittsburgh, and in Toronto. I am also missing them in Vancouver, Seattle, and LA. My life totally sucks.
Well, now I have to get back to homework. Enjoy the rest of your summer and don't procrastinate!

June 2013

So the month of June... where to start? School ended (JOY TO THE WORLD), my softball team went 14-1 (but the one didn't count because it was against an all-star team...), life is sort of uneventful. I'm just absolutely completely relieved that I got a 4.3 GPA (yay nerdy me). The only bad part about the end of school is that I don't get to see my friends as much (lol I actually have friends that aren't invisible or imaginary). On the flip side, I don't have to see any of the people I hate anymore (SCORE). I went to a pool party, which meant I got in a pool (for the first time in a lot of years). I've never actually been swimming or to the beach for five or six years.
MOVIES! This year is just huge on movies! I am soooo excited! I'm planning on seeing multiple (Despicable Me 2, Now You See Me, Man of Steel, The Heat, This is the End, City of Bones, This is Us) If anyone has any more recommendations, please comment, I watch a lot of movies. I don't watch many in theaters, just a select few, but I wanna watch a bunch.
Also, since I have no life, I watch wayyyyyy too many tv shows. I literally have watched at least one season of every criminal investigation/ criminal justice show (as well as Disney and Nick).
The 'end of the year' sort of sense that June brings always a nostalgic feeling, so I have read the whole HP series once again (making it a total of thirty-some times at least) and watch the HSM movies again (I miss Zac Efron)
I've also become obsessed with the many different people on Youtube, as well as actors. I'm in love with Jamie Campbell Bower right now. At first, I wasn't the happiest when I realized that he was going to play Jace, but I watched a couple past interviews and now I realize that he is the one and only Jace. There cannot be another.
I'm also very emotional and stressed right now. I need to take care of my grandparents, and I feel like my parents are treating me a lot more harshly than my brother. Just because he's the firstborn and he's a guy doesn't mean you have to act all Asian and ignore the second born girl.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Well, I'm doing one of these every month as a reflection of my life. I guess it's a sort of therapy for me... anyways... HAPPY SUMMER!

Friendship

Life's hard... things are never fair... but we can work through everything together and make things better. :)
